A Little Push from Paula…

I met Paula Vogel last night at a panel discussion she was moderating at the 92nd Street Y. What an amazing lady! What a warm human being…

I put a question to the panel and she asked me to see her afterwards. She gave me a much needed pep talk, and told me something I’m still thinking about.

She said, “If you’re getting signed letters, that’s a good thing. It means you’re very close.” She explained something I already knew of as a reality, that theatres get pounded with soooo many manuscripts, it’s hard to weed through them. But what she said makes so much sense…

She further explained, “If you’re getting a signed letter, that means you’ve gotten two, maybe even three or four read throughs… It means you’re on to something.” I know I’m on to something great… and I know that it won’t be long until the rest of the world knows it too.
