“Young at Heart”
Tonight, after a long day of doing things for the show, I was reminded of why I’m doing these things…
The documentary “Young at Heart”, about the chorus of the same name, was a feel good reminder of why anyone gets up on stage (and in this case sings)… It’s to be a part of something so much bigger than one person — to know you’re touching the hearts of everyone in the audience, and doing the most basic thing we do as humans… feel.
Less than two hours, and yet there’s more than a few lifetimes’ worth of triumphs and a few disappointments.
Moved to tears (of sadness and joy) more than a few times, this movie is one I’ll carry around with me for many years to come.
Happy to be sharing the songs in my heart with all of you in the near future…
